I had expectations that a gulf resort would have white sandy beaches - this did not (shells - ouch). There really isn't much to do for mid-age kids (10-13) besides the beach. The items in the stores and restaurants was horribly overpriced (hit a grocery on your way in). It was a nice getaway but I wouldn't go so far as to say "resort".
