There is plenty of soft sand for castle making and the grade is so gradual that you can walk out in the water a long way before it even reaches your knees. Toddlers and up will enjoy playing at this beach.

Dining out options are numerous and varied within a minimal driving distance.
Shopping options for all budgets are nearby. An upscale shopping district with movie theater and restaurants is also within a minimal driving distance to Destin. Treasure hunters will want to check out the multiple antique and thrift stores in the area.
