Stayed for 14 days in February, 2013 We were disappointed to find one of the only two wine glasses cracked,,rust in kettle, badly scratched frying pans,, ALL cookware,utensils and knives need updating,,no tea towels or wash clothes..Terrible sofa-bed,,,,luckily there was a extra sponge found in closet, patio furniture badly torn.. |

Three weeks at Emdeko 310 Lisa S. from Salt Spring Island, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 18 days in January, 2013 Overall we really liked the property and this individual rental. Great location, loved the pools and the oceanside beach and Bbq area. Our major disappointments were...Number One- no internet, in this day and age really a pain in the you know what.Number Two- the tv was ancient, no remote. Number Three- the chairs on the deck really, really need to be recovered. This and the tv issue have been remarked on in earlier reviews and for very little both could have been remedied. We would still recommend it but with reservations. |

decent, but not as nice as other comparables along Alii Dr Joni H. from Providence, RI recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in October, 2012 lighting pretty bad (dark w/o putting glaring bright ceiling lights on) reading light on bed room too dark on one side other side the light is way up on the dresser. remodeled bathroom is very nice. Kitchen could use some upgrading now, too. It would be nice if a reasonable amount of laundry soap was supplied. |

Another stay at Casa De Emdeko Jerry L. from Metter, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in February, 2012 We have stayed at Casa on other visits to the Big Island so we knew the location was very good for us. We experienced no difficulties with unit 310 and would recommend it to others. We had a wonderful experience and hopefully will be able to return in a few years. |

Casa De Emdeko 310 A guest from Kelowna, BC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 31 days in January, 2012 Stayed in this unit for a month in January 2012. Arrived at 11 PM and there were no keys in lock box. Management arrived quickly to resolve the issue. Unit was very dated with peeling wall paper and large cracks around the shower frame from water damage. Kitchen had small amout of dish detergent and salt and pepper only, no other condiments. Only one dish cloth and dish towel. No pot holders and one useable fryng pan. Light in kitchen was burnt out and had to take one from another fixture as no replacements were available. Upper kitchen cupboards were very dirty on the outside. Couches smelled stale and had a burn in the arm. TV was a small, cheap model and the remote had to be programmed to operate it. Lanai furniture was rough and chair fabric was ripped on all chairs. We covered the chairs with towels to sit on them. Pillows were flat and hard, bed was lumpy and sheets were pilled. The venetians in the bedroom were dirty, broken and not functional(seized). Only a few hangars in the closet. Vacuum cleaner did not suck. Few beach ammenities in unit with only one beach chair and no cooler. On the plus side, appliances worked well, nice dining room furniture and area rugs, good location, nice ocean view and clean pools. With some attention this could still be a nice unit. |

Stayed for 9 days in January, 2011 The staff was very helpful--sending a plumber when needed and buying new coffee maker, hair dryer, and coffee grinder, all of which were mssing or not working. Otherwise we were pleased. I hope you got the key I sent back to you via snail mail. I found it in my pocket when I returned home. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2010 WE ARRIVED AFTER DARK AND SPENT 45 MIN. FINDING THE UNIT. WE HAD 1 DIRTY WASH RAG IN THE UNIT. HAD TO GO TO K-MART AND BUY WASH RAGS. THE BED WAS OLD/HARD. PILLOWS FLAT AND POOR QUALITY. THE SOFA/DAVENPORT SMELLED DIRTY. NO CLOCK, ALL THE BATTERIES WERE GONE FROM THE REMOTE. SHOWER LEAKED ALL OVER THE FLOOR. LIGHT BULB OUT IN BATHROOM. HANDLE GONE FROM BLINDS IN FRONT ROOM AND SLATS MISSING. FURNITURE DULL AND OLD. Property Manager Response: Response from Knutson & Associates I am very sorry that you were not happy. |
