Maui Kamaole Unit G-212 Disappointing compared to other units. Andrea T. from North Vancouver, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 13 days in March, 2013 This was our third time staying at the Maui Kamaole and the first time in G 212. The first two times the units we stayed in were perfect - absolutely spotless, updated furniture, appliances etc. This unit is obviously ony used by the owners as a money maker. It has a wonderful ocean view as it is in the front of the complex but that's about it. The bathrooms were not clean or updated from the original fittings, the shower heads were all clogged up with gunk, the screens were full of dirt. The washer/dryer hardly worked and were full of sand. The dishwasher is also probably the original from 25 years ago and does not clean the dishes; they come out with food stuck to them and greasy. We had to hand wash every dish before we could use them. The carpets were stained and obviously not cleaned. The lanai was full of sand and the deck furniture had not been cleaned or wiped down before our arrival. We paid a premium for the location of the unit but I would not ever go back to G-212. It is over priced and not taken care of. We have been in B Cluster and I Cluster and both of those units were top quality in every way. We have a lovely hoiday but would not ever request this unit again. Also this time the man at the registration desk was most unfriendly and condescending.....not like the previous 2 times we have dealt with him. We would recommend the Maui Kamaole to friends, but not sure if we would go back for a 4th time. |

Unit G212 - Tired Unit - Unbelievable View Catherine H. from Stittsville, Ontario does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in May, 2012 We had stayed in the complex two years ago further back and had made a decision we wanted a front unit that over looked the beach and sunsets, we were not dissappointed. The location of the unit was fabulous, however the unit itself is in need of a major facelift. The bathrooms and kitchen are tired and worn. When we arrived, I wrote the property manager to complain about a broken shower door, broken patio door, worn and tattered beach towesl and toys, shoddy cleaning job and the fact that the kitchen did not have a single good knife in it. To her credit, she came within an hour and surveyed all our concerns, arranged an additional cleaning and came back the same day with new beach towels, a block of good knifes and arranged for a handyman to come in and fix the shower and patio doors. So thank you to Kathy Englert of Coldwell Banker Island Properties. We will be back to Hawaii, I will deal with Kathy again but would not stay or recommend this unit unless it is renovated. |

Rugs were filthy A guest from Lavallette, NJ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2011 Rugs were filthy. It was a joke that you had to take your shoes off when the bottom of the shoes were probably cleaner than the rugs. The place needed to be updated. When speaking to others renting in the same building they stated how nice and updated their unit was, unlike ours. |
