They all had a most enjoyable experience. The grandchildren, all teen-agers, had wonderful times at the beach and many evenings were spent at the pool. Nice unit but infested with cockroaches Alicia V. from Evanston, Illinois recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 The unit was nice but it was infested with cockroaches! There were cockroaches all over the kitchen: around the sink, in the dishwasher and on the counter. We traver with two children and like to have breakfast and a couple of dinners at the resort, but we could not have any food in this resort because we were so grossed out by the cockroaches running around the kitchen. We contacted the property manager who finally sent an exterminator to spray the place. We lived with dead roaches lying around the kitchen the remaining of the week!! We were promised that we would be taken care of, which we assumed meant get a discount. But we have not heard from them yet and it has been 2 months!! Stayed for 8 days in November, 2011 My family rented 3 units at Hololoni for a relaxing vacation and an early Thanksgiving celebration. The unit was fabulous, very clean and looked to be newly remodeled. The grounds are gorgeous, the buildings sitting right next to the beach - unbelievable views of Molokai and sunsets. We snorkeled right out front of the complex and saw beautiful fish and swam with the turtles. A wonderful location. Stayed for 14 days in January, 2010 We have stayed at the Hololani several times in the past several years, and each time we have had a very enjoyable vacation. Usually, we stay in the A building, but this time we stayed in the B side. The condo we stayed in was not our favorite, because it was at the opposite end of the building as the ocean and we were right on the street, where we would awake to the sounds of the garbage truck slamming around and street noises, such as motorcycles and vehicle horns and motors... As well, for at least 6 days out of 14 we had no elevator and we were on the 8 floor. This is the first trip to the Hololani that there seemed to be many owners staying in their condos, and most were not friendly! On the positive side, the room was recently tiled, and that was very nice. The bathrooms were also, recently tiled. Hololani Christmas - B A guest from Midway, UT recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in December, 2009 It was a wonderful place to stay. So relaxing, views were great, convenient location for a great price during the holiday season. Our teenagers were disappointed that the beach was so tiny, but with all the public beaches elsewhere around Maui it didn't pose much of a problem. I'd recommend this property to anyone.
