Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 First I will mention all the benefits of this property: great location to shopping, nice large refrigerator, having two full baths is a plus, has a nice big washer and dryer in garage(great if you have kids), beach area is less crowded then other areas, rock jetty is fun for kids, absolute gorgeous sunset views. The house is nice but not real spacious if you have friends come for the day. The patio is small and hard to do any bbqing,plus you have to share space with upstairs neighbor. There is no dining table so beware if you have small children(bar is very high and chairs are low). Had a great week here but will get something larger next year. But going in you should know to take tp, paper towel, Kleenex, garbage bags. There are no spices not even a salt and pepper shaker. These are very minor details considering how great this place is. One other note that I read on another comment was that there is not a dining room table. We ate on the patio most of the time. If you are going in the summer, fans are a must. 3112 W. Oceanfront Unit A - June 23-30, 2012 Rodney P. from Pukalani, HI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Great location! The house was very small but decorated nicely. Several things required management company attention:dirty floor with broken glass, poorly flushing toilet, toilet paper holder broken and lying on toilet tank, noisey mattresses in master (replaced), no key to trash area, no broom available. Unfortunately we had to clean when we moved in - even the front door was filthy, plantation shutters filthy in the front room and windows were not clean. What we did not do was clean the bedroom blinds - they need it, fix the master shower door (hard to close) and use the dishwasher as it had dirty dishes in it. We also had to declog the icemaker to make it work. Numerous kitchen tools were useless - can openers (we had to purchase one that worked) toster only toasts one side of bread. There were not enough serving bowls or platters.What we did like were the linens were very nice, the washer and dryer were great and the location was perfect.We would not rent this unit again, but may consider another with Burr White. We found it odd that there was only one TV in the unit, since there was a cable outlet and wire in each bedroom; The unit needs a dining table or someplace to gather for meals. The barstools in the kitchen were too low for that counter (or the counter was too high). We had issues with the dishwasher, coffee pot, and lack of flatware; The people with Burr White were very responsive; they sent over a new coffee pot and additional flatware immediately, they sent a dishwasher repair person (unfortunately, it could not be fixed while we were there). It is right in the middle of everything. We never used our car except to arrive and leave. However, suggestions for the rental itself: certain things should be provided for a comfortable stay. If they aren't provided, renters should at least be "warned" in advance to bring these items. The following were NOT provided in the rental: coffee filters, kitchen trash bags (even though you are asked to remove the trash), paper towels, kleenex, hair dryer. In addition, there were no "extra" rolls of toilet paper provided. Even budget hotels provide these basics so they were expected in a rental of this caliber. Having said that, our stay was not diminished by these things- we just had to run out and get them (we left the coffee filters for the next guests). Warning: property garbage cans are apparently shared with the property next door where the rude and sarcastic landlady insisted we have trash bags before she would allow us to empty household trash into the can). There was an odor in the master bedroom and also in the living room. I continually sprayed Fabreze to courteract this offensive musty odor. I did not take the time to call in the beginning because I was getting settled and visiting with my family. In the future when I move into a rental, I will express my dissatisfation at the beginning. There was a terrible noise coming from the hot water heater which caused me to wake during the night on some occasions. I also think that there should be some attention to all of the dust which collects from dryer use in the garage. I would have cleaned it myself as I did dirty side windows but I have allergy problems which would have been intensified by the dust. I enjoyed very much being on the beach, the property was well laid out and comfortable as well as being in a good location. The kitchen and bathrooms were also very satisfactory. I did not feel that I was dealing with old dirt in those areas as I did in the living room.
