This one story rental has a full kitchen with granite counters, travertine floors, a living and dining room that looks straight out to the beach, and a beachfront patio that with patio furniture a barbecue, and a private spa! There is a 2 car tandem garage and 2 washer and dryer units, so when you return home, you will not have loads and loads of laundry! Nothing was spared when this rental was built. This home is located in the coastal town of Oceanside, where the beaches are nothing short of spectacular, with wide sandy beaches and gorgeous waters year-round. After a day at the beach, take a walk to the pier perhaps, wander down and either watch the surfers, go fishing, or take a sail boat out at the harbor. When it is time for dinner, there is an endless amount of delicious restaurants and cafes for you to choose from, but many choose to cook their meals at the vacation rental. It was actually better then the pictures protrayed. We had a fantastice time and are very grateful for finding the unit. We would probably rent it again except for the stairs. There were 2 problems; I had specically made a big point to the person who helped me of finding a unit without many stairs, as someone in our family has difficulty with stairs. I was assured this was the case with this unit. (I was told ther were 5 steps) In fact there were about 18-20 very treacherous steps to get down to the unit. They are very narrow and deep. It was extremely difficult for my family member. In addition, there were plumbing problems. We could not get cold water in several of the bathrooms. Someone did pick up the guest services line each time we called but it took 3 calls for the problem to be fixed. The beach house was perfect for our family of 16. The only thing we were disappointed with was the beach. To get to the beach you have to climb over big boulders. It was hard for the small children we had with us. The beach itself wasn't very big and was only good when it was low tide. Other than that we had a great time. However, the checkin time is at 4p.m. as you lose hours of your stay at either end. Just 2 hrs would make a world of difference. Otherwise the place is fantastic from the view to the comfort and cleanliness. The beach location is fantastic. The staff is friendly and helpful without being invasive. Our family had a great vacation in Oceanside. The space was more than comfortable; the word luxurious comes to mind. It was even better than we expected from the pictures. The location and view are unparalleled--home, deck, rocks, water. A lot of us just sat & watched the waves for hours. It's off the street but has plenty of free street parking in addition to 2 garage spaces. The living areas and kitchen were spacious--even for more than 10, the beds comfortable, and the bathrooms plentiful. It's an easy walk to the pier and the town. We couldn't say enough good things about our experience & none of us wanted to leave--ever. The house, built for 12, has settings & linens for 12, but it would have been nice to have a few extra towels, sets of silverware, pillows, etc. The DVD connections to the TV were broken, but everything else was in great shape. You may want to give the land line number to your contacts because cell service this close to the beach is spotty. Also you have to climb down rocks to get to the beach, and we had a few scrapes & cuts for this effort. Unfortunate, however the house & view were again- fabulous.
