Good location, home was a bit basic Dorothy K. from Washington, DC recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2013 Our two-families stayed here for 5 days in March. Having just reviewed the previous reviews, I can verify that this house, while large and airy, still needs more patio furniture, the blinds in the master bedroom upstairs are still broken and the fan squeaks, and there still is no general information about how the home works located inside the home. We loved seeing the Albatross families in the yard, the location was great, but there were no maps and we could not find information in the house about any access to the beach so we asked people who were passing by. Overall, the home was very nice, but it was clearly viewed by its owner as a rental home with basic furniture and fixtures. Just a bit more care and nicer/more furniture would make the home a nicer stay. The home is in a great location, but located very close to neighbors so one does not feel entirely comfortable about eating outdoors or letting the kids play ball in the yard--because of a concern about noise bothering the neighbors. The breeze was fantastic and I liked the upstairs bedrooms, but the AC worked in only one bedroom and the tvs did not work very well in the upstairs unit. The real estate company (Cathy) was fantastic in terms of answering questions. I would rent from this company again, but probably look for a slightly nicer home with a true view of the water (as opposed to being wedged in between two houses and having a partial view). We needed a four bedroom house to accomodate our family and Ocean Cliffs provided a great space. The house has an open floor plan that worked well for our family. A little short on the outdoor furniture, but we made due. The view is positioned between other homes, but still made for a quiet place to have a cocktail and watch the night sky. Princeville is a great location no matter which home you stay in. National Geographic Experience Wayne H. from Chillicothe, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2012 The home is in a beautiful neighborhood and we had the added benefit of being surrounded by Albotross families. We had nesting birds on the property, next door, behind us, across the street and felt like we were filming a true National Geographic event. The house is very nice, in a quiet area, and close to most activities on the North Shore. We did have minor issues with the WiFi(had to reboot the main Webstar server box to get the WiFi and phones to work), the screen door kept popping of its track to the back patio, the east bedroom door to the patio was difficult to lock, the carpet had stains on it in several places when we arrived, plus the seal on the bathtub door of the rear downstairs bathroom did not seal properly and leaked water onto the floor. When we looked at the seal is had quite a bid of mildew around it. Even with this, we did enjoy the house, the location and the vacation. There was only one toilet paper roll per bathroom. The house can fit 8 BUT that would be hard to do. The refrigerator would not support 8 people. The master bedroom bed has a metal canopy bed that makes a loud noise with every turn, which made sleeping difficult. The house is wonderful...just be prepared! We went with a group of six and the biggest drawback was the outdoor furniture.There were only two plastic chairs. The other thing that a renter should keep in mind is that you will need to buy everything you need for the kitchen. Every other home I have ever rented had at least some staples in it. This one only had salt. Other than that it was great and it even had air conditioning which was a nice surprise! The neighborhood was beautiful and felt really safe. The walk to Sea lodge beach was a nice little hike. Kauai was so beautiful!! I can't wait to go back! Nice location, overpriced and rude management Nancy D. from Cordova, TN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in June, 2010 The property was in a beautiful location, however several ceiling fans did not work, the drain in one bathroom ws clogged, the washing machine was broken as was one of the jacuzzi tubs. The wi-fi was locked, however one of my kids fixed that, although as a guest, things should be as advertised and we should not spend a half day of our vacation fixing something that was advertised. There was no phone as was on the paperwork. The beach was not a short walk through fruit trees, but accessible through a winding and narrow cliff. Only accessible if you are in tip top shape and not afraid of walking down an extremely narrow path. Not for young children. When I called Ahh Aloha and talked to Sandy, she was rude, but did send someone to look at things.The fans were never fixed, nor was the washer or jacuzzi tub. I hope they will be for the next guest. Don't call Sandy-she acts like everything is your fault. I was not treated like a paying guest, but like an annoyance. Some aloha spirit! Tight/close to other houses but great & helpful neighbors. The place needs an outdoor grill and more outdoor furniture plus directions to the closest beach (10 min walk from where??? Did not want to trespass) The place was spotless and beds comfortable. Overall a great place at a good price... and the albatross so interesting! Did have a problem w/smoke alarms??? low batteries?? and oven temp? Could also use beach chairs.I got the feeling this house is a new rental? Get it together and it'll be excellent!!!!
