When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared.
Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snow plows that clear the roads.
4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low profile vehicle you may have difficulties.
Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries)

The only negative here was that the driveway is downsloping and covered with a thick layer of ice, so it was slippery and a little challenging to navigate (we have a ski box on the roof so couldn't park in the garage). But that is to be expected in such a big snow year and we were fine.
