This 1-bedroom, 1-bath condo on the 4th floor of an elevator building sleeps 4 very comfortably between the king-sized bed in the bedroom and the sleeper sofa in the living room. (There's also a heavenly recliner in the living room, known to be the cause of naps that can last for hours!) It's perfect for a couple with children, 2 couples, or friends traveling together. Between the newly-updated kitchenette, the HDTVs, and the free WiFi, it's got everything you need for a comfortable, pleasant, entertaining stay.
Before you even examine the interior of the condo, chances are you'll be drawn out to the ocean front balcony. Here you have a panoramic view of beautiful dunes, sugary white sands, and the sparkling, ever-changing Atlantic. Take a moment to sit at the bistro table and breathe in the balmy air and salty breeze! The surf murmurs in the background, pelicans glide overhead in a stately line, and the sunshine caresses you. Linger on the patio to check your smartphone (your WiFi works out here!), read the first chapter of that novel you've been trying to get to all year long, or simply watch the waves. You're in northeast Florida, just 10 miles south of historic downtown St. Augustine and a hop, skip, and jump from famous Fort Matanzas. Step inside to get your bearings, and you find yourself in a cool, airy open-plan space with both living and dining areas combined. Since the east wall is entirely sliding-glass doors, you can see the ocean even from the kitchen at Beacher's Lodge 425 . . . which makes having to come indoors much better! At the end of a busy day sightseeing or kayaking, you'll love coming home to this pristine, relaxing space and flopping down on the sofa or recliner. There's something to be said for "downtime," too!
Our living area contains a large HDTV, mounted on the wall for convenience, as well as a silent ceiling fan. Put the ankle-biters down for their nap in the bedroom each afternoon and enjoy some grown-up time, or let them spread out their toys and projects on the polished floor while you relax on the couch. It's so easy to get comfortable at Beacher's Lodge 425!
The dining table is at the far end of the living area, and seats 4 beneath a modern chandelier. It's easy to cook and serve from the adjacent kitchenette, and the table also comes in handy for games, cards, and laptops. Jenga, anyone?
The small kitchen at Beacher's Lodge 425 is ideal for vacation cooking: a fridge to hold all those drinks and restaurant leftovers, a microwave for reheating, a coffeepot to get the troops moving in the morning, and a little stove for impromptu treats and appetizers! We've stocked this kitchen as if you're entertaining the in-laws -- all the cookware, dishes, and utensils you could ask for. The bedroom at Beacher's Lodge 425 is a real treat, a sanctuary from the open living and dining area and a haven of quiet and repose. The king-sized bed is wonderfully luxurious, and the HDTV is a nice little feature, especially if you want to "wind down" the kids before bed with a movie.
You'll like the bath in our condo too. Brightly tiled, it features a frosted-glass shower with a safety rail. There are also a washer and dryer on the premises for your use, and all of the linens and towels you need are provided.

It is perfect for the couple that likes to eat out and who packs light. I don't recommend this spot for families with young children on account of the washer and drier being on a seperate floor and small kitchen without a dishwasher or oven. The location is very convenient for beach lounging, exploring St. Augustine or attending the dog races in Daytona.
