Stayed for 28 days in January, 2013 PROS: Light fixtures are plentiful; small kitchen appliances are good; there are more beds than can be conveniently used; lanai is spacious but receives very little sun; half the flooring is new ceramic; there were no fleas, bugs, or spiders inside; electronics are a bit messy, but they work once you figure-out their undocumented operations; ceiling fans and mirrors in every room; kitchen and bathroom counter tops are new; washer/dryer and heat/air work well. CONS: Unit is advertised as a two bedroom, but in reality it?s a converted one bedroom which is why it?s much smaller than the other two bedrooms; some dishes, glasses, and pans were dirty on our arrival; two of three sinks leaked badly with one (the kitchen) totally out of service for three days; no WIFI; no breakfast-snack bar; storage areas are minimal and contain clutter; dish washer was inoperable and we waited eleven days for its repair (lost several days of vacation while waiting on service delays); recliners, bikes, and grill are not provided; no wash clothes or beach towers provided; two rusty, inexpensive beach chairs are provided; carpet (laid in half the unit) needs to be replaced or cleaned; noisy bathroom fans cannot be shut-off; doors and walls are distressed in appearance; furniture is fairly uncomfortable and stained; tiny dining table-- max of two; cleaning supplies are inadequate; dresser drawers are broken and/or worn to the point of being dangerous to use; shower almost works correctly, but the bathtub and faucet elements are totally inoperable (try either washing your feet after the beach in the kitchen sink or bathing your children!); window treatments are adequate, but five out of five are broken and/or falling off the wall; ten mile drive down A1A to St. Augustine?s old city; limited hot water (electric)? move fast in the shower and schedule only one person per half hour; entire unit is in need of a deep-cleaning; confused array of jungle print decors throughout the condo. Review of d23 unit at ocean village club Amy F. from Greenwood Village, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2012 The apartment was not in good condition. The patio furniture was very rusty and should have been tossed out. Lousy matresses and pillows did not make for a good sleeping experience. Also, cable was out of order for the first 2 days of our stay. Overall not impressed with the property and certainly would not reccomend the unit. Would not stay there ever again A guest from London, ON does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2012 The place was not spacious at all. Extremely cluttered. Not well cleaned (hair and dirt in the drawers, ring around bathtub, etc.) Shower ran out of hot water within 5 min, tub didn't drain properly. There was NO cable TV. However, place was well stocked with necessary items, even CD player and games. Lots of pots and pans. Last minute Get away A guest from Ocala, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 Vrp were very helpful when we booked our get away! Even the dogs had a blast. This was a pet friendly unit that did not smell. I recommend this unit if you have small dogs and a small family. not near as good as usual becky c. from st. albans, West Virginia does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2011 We were somewhat displeased with this rental. We got there late, but when we turned on the lights, we immediately saw stains on the carpet, and, of course, our dog headed right to them. Also, the comforter in the master was stained, which was really"yucky". The AC was VERY loud the whole time we were there. The chains on the 3 ceiling fans were very short, and we had to stand on a stool to turn lights off, if we wanted to leave the fans on. The fan in the smaller bedroom was loud, and I turned it off so I could sleep. The stem in the bathtub stayed in the up postion, so you could not take a bath. The range hood was greasy, and there was black gook in the drain. We had rented another unit, but were changed. I did note that the rental we originally wanted was not occupied while we were there. We have rented from VRP before, with much satisfation, but this rental was a disappointment. Not really too fond of the jungle theme, either.
