I have stayed in many Isla condos, and this was one of the best. I would recommend that travelers be warned of the bridge construction as the barge was anchored outside all day and work was happening. Condo is up for sale so I am unable to rent again next year. If available I would like first crack at Condo in 2014. The condo showed its age with old facets and outdated kitchen however the location made up for everything lacking. The tile floors throughout were very dirty (cleaning staff problem ?)because if you walked around without shoes the soles of your feet were BLACK. I still loved the place so just washed the floors myself a number of times. If sold and up for rent please consider me as first choice because I loved the views and water activities so very much. POORLY EQUIPPED UNIT, COLD ATMOSPHERE Yvonne R. from Orillia, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2012 We have rented condos at isla for years and years. this unit was very very poorly equipped. there was no kettle, there were no pool towels, and towels for regular use were pathetic, only two or three larger towels in the bathroom which were like sandpaper, there were no movies, no books or magazines, or welcome package of things around the area, no guest book, no wallunit making the place seem very uninhabited and cold, no staple supplies til rented gets to grocery store, no dishwashing liquid, no detergent, no salt, very sparse kitchen, no plastic tumblers , lack of cooking materials, serious lack of general use towels, overall unit would get a c- location is excellent and view was excellent. i have never rented such a sparse unit, unequipped and unfriendly, cot a cozy atmosphere at all. unit was for sale, and calls to show it were unsettling while on vacation. real estate lady was not rude whatsoever, but it was the fact we were even called to show it while on vacation we found insulting. if we were to rent this particular unit again owner would have to pick it up. given choice of other units we would take a chance. was not homey at all. Stayed for 29 days in June, 2012 We loved the condo, very well laid out, very comfortable place to spend a month for a family of four.We did Purchase rugs for the bathrooms, as it was dangerous when the tile floor was wet, we left them there for others.We were really upset by the condition of the beach, FILTY is being kind. The pool police were over the top, we had the pool to ourselves most of the time are were constantly being "monitored" for food etc., none of which we EVER had at the pool. We were told that we couldn't do anything that was considered FUN! Can you imagine taking a month off from work to enjoy a family vacation and being told you couldn't have fun? The pool was dirty, we spend each night "de-bugging" it, with a net. Again we were on vacation. (Strict with visitors but yet not strict with cleanliness).Bridge construction was no stopped and all you heard was constant banging, I wish I was told there was construction, very noisey woke us up early each morning, we should have been told this. There was less then a half roll of toliet paper in each bathroom, we found this strange. We left a full package, we knew we were responsible for buying this but it's the first time we stayed anywhere with a half roll! The association cleans the pool every morning Monday - Friday. It is not done on Saturday or Sunday. There was a tropical storm that left some of the beaches pretty dirty during their stay. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2012 I booked this online because it looked nice, and when we arrived it was even better than expected. These condos are primarily occupied by owners that are year-round residents. It is well-maintained and not overrun with tourists. If you want relatively easy access to activities like beaches, golf and dining without having to deal with tourist/resort crowds 24/7, this is the place. The condo itself was comfortable, roomy and clean. The pool was great and never crowded. Some of the other building in the complex have access to better beach frontage so if that is what you are looking for be sure to call and ask before you book. However, even nicer beaches are only a short drive away. I would definitely recommend this unit!
