Moonlight Beach is a kid friendly beach located at the end of Encinitas Boulevard in Encinitas California. The sand beach is appropriate for surfing, swimming, and beach volleyball. The beach does not allow dogs, alcohol, or glass. The surf break is better for short boards than long and the best tides are low to medium with an East or NorthEast wind. Surf lessons are available as well as board rentals. Concierge service is also available. The beach is handicap accessible with wheelchair accessible parking and a sand wheelchair available at the lifeguard tower. The beach has a concession stand as well as a kids play park. Tennis and Volleyball courts are also available. Hours: Beach: 4am - 2am Parking Lot: 5am - 10pm Lifeguard towers: 10am - 6pm during summer months Please note Moonlight Beach does not accept the Annual Day Use Pass |
