If you can't decide on a vacation home between the San Francisco and Los Angeles, why not choose a spot right in the middle at Pismo Beach? The town offers endless recreational activities including golf courses, horseback riding along the pristine beach or through the dunes, and a 1200 foot pier for peaceful strolls and incredible views. If you're in the mood for some adventure while at Pismo Beach, try one of the newest extreme at water sports: kite surfing. There will also be many locations near your Pismo Beach rental to rent ATVs, surfboards, kayaks, and bikes. Just about an hour away is the world famous Hearst Castle, but there are also very unique features without the drive. If you plan on booking your beach vacation home between October and February, be sure to visit the Monarch Butterfly Grove. Thousands of monarchs descend on the area making for an incredible sight that few people are lucky enough to experience. Fans of seafood will be happy to know that the Pismo Clam can be caught year round and can grow as large as 7 inches. Before you set out clamming, make sure to pick up your salt-water fishing license at a local store and to not catch any clams smaller than 4 ½ inches in diameter. After a long day of clam hunting on the beach, you can head back to your beach home with your finds and cook up a delicious dinner for the family. |
