"The Village by the Sea", as it is deemed, Carlsbad is a mix of lovely beaches and a small town that contains much of the same allure and pleasures of beach towns of the past. Local stores, sidewalk restaurants, and surf shops abound among the tall palm trees and sunbathed people below. If you are looking to take a trip to Southern California, plopping down in Carlsbad is a smart choice. For the more adventurous type, Carlsbad is home to a ton of surfing along the State Beach and Campground area and beyond.
