There are many historic places to visit in Stonington, with a couple of them being the Old Lighthouse Museum and the Captain Nathaniel B. Palmer House. The Old Lighthouse museum is located in the first government operated lighthouse. It is home to several exhibits, including a special children’s room. Nearby is the Captain Nathaniel B Palmer House, home to the explorer who discovered Antarctica. There are exhibits as well as tours of the Victorian home. The admission to enter both attractions is $5 for adults and $3 for children (6-12). For a day of relaxation, a visit to the Stonington Vineyards is the perfect choice. There are free daily tours of the winery, wine tasting, and an art gallery for you to explore.
