Huntington Beach
Huntington Beach, a.k.a. 'Surf City', is a booming coastal city just south of Los Angeles in the sun of Southern California. It is stocked full of great beach vacation properties, homes and condos alike. Over 11 million visitors make a trek to Huntington Beach each summer alone, making good use of the eight straight miles of coastline. The standard beach activities of surfing, boating, and sunbathing get a little kick in Huntington when it hosts large events such as the U.S. Open of Surfing, pro skateboarding, and major volleyball events. The name
'Surf City' stems from the unique waves that roll up onto the coast in Huntington, the result of ocean swells off the coast of nearby Catalina Island and summer hurricanes off the coast of Mexico.

Huntington Beach details
As you can imagine, the climate in Huntington Beach is consistently mild year round. While you're staying in the vacation rental you found on CoastRentals.com, remember to visit the large pier that jets out into the Pacific from Main Street in downtown Huntington. During the summer months, concerts are often put on in Pier Plaza, which sits just adjacent to the pier. Huntington Beach Pier stands as the city's most famous landmark, and fishing is permitted. The Surfing Museum is also a major draw in downtown. Of course, when the sun and action of the beach begins to wear on you, world class shopping and dining is only a short drive away in Los Angeles.
