Beyond the Zoo, Balboa Park boasts countless musuems and a beautiful landscape. Just north of the park is the bohemian neighborhood of Hillcrest, which has some of the best restaurants in the San Diego area (try Hash House a Go-Go on 5th St.). And of course, the Gaslamp District, which offers up more places to eat and enjoy an evening out on the town than any vacation could include.
