The Mote Marine Aquarium houses a 135,000 gallon outdoor shark tank and also features many different marine species as well. Children will love to visit a petting zoo and shell museum located at Sarasota Jungle Gardens. If you're feeling adventurous saddle up and head on over to Colonel Herrmann's Royal Lipizzan Ranch where you can go horseback riding and observe the Florida landscape. If you prefer the links to the stables, the Bobby Jones Golf Complex offers 35 holes of championship golf on American, British, and Gillespie-style courses. Can't find a tee time? Don't fret. There are 12 courses within the city limits and another 18 that are all less than 13 miles away.
